| Upper Left: A branchy
species of Fire Coral,
in a vast field of the more common
ridge-form. Upper
Right: In a tight spot. The water is
almost too shallow to maneuver in, and
we've wall-to-wall 'Fire' coral. I
experienced no stinging, though the coral
itself looked quite abrasive.
Left: A green
Tabletop Staghorn (Acropora sp.) has
managed to colonize a spot on the
aforementioned field of Fire Coral. It
will now try to kill off the surrounding
Fire Coral by shading it from sunlight,
in order to acquire more real estate to
colonize.
