we make little stars and each player has his own star. Then they get to keep the star and on the back it says "you're a star in our eyes". They get a kick out of it but is something they will never forget

Every Friday before the games the senior members of the marching band play some of the pep music as the walk around the halls. Us cheerleaders follow close behind and just go crazy. The guys love it! And it gets us psyched up for the game too!

We have this tradition at my school to have about 8 or 10 senior guys dress up as cheerleaders. I mean make-up, wigs, and everything. It is a real crack-up to the students.Anyways! They have to plan ahead of the pep rally and choose a cheer, dance, and jumps that they want to do. Then, we have a jump-off that is voted on by the student body's applause, and whoever wins gets a prize.

on the day of a game..especially a tourney, we hold a "Pie a Cheerleader" raffle. One of our squad members volunteers to be the person pied, and at the gate and during lunch at school, we sell tickets for 2$. At the game that night during halftime, or if we play 2 games, in between them...we draw a raffle ticket and who ever wins gets to pie the cheerleader. We usually have 3 or 4 pied..and if you do this try to have like bargain type prices. We'll sell one ticket for 2$, or 3 for 5$. Sometimes we keep profits for new outfits, plastic footballs, etc.. or sometimes we'll donate them to a place like Riley Children's Hospital, or any place like that that takes donations. The crowd really looks forward to it

At our pep ralley's we dress all the football players up as cheerleaders and make them get in front of the school and do two cheers. It's really cute and the whole school loves it!

Last year my squad made spirit cans. The crowd LOVED them!! What you do is have each cheerleader make at least 20 cans. You dry them out, put gravel or beads .( You know, anything like that) inside the can, tape it up, then you put wrapping paper or something to that extent around the can. After that you tie the ends with gift string. If the paper is not decorative enough, you can put team spirit stuff (like go raiders or sink the pirates). Then you pass them out to the crowd for free.

Last Year we had 4 of the most popular football players put on old cheerleading uniforms and we taught them a cheer. At the pep assembly they put on the skirts and did the cheer in front of all the student body. The students loved it.

Every year on Homecoming we take the senior football players and take them to the different schools in our schools in our system. We do this so we can get a lot of spirt from the young Our squad goes the night before a game to a few of the player's houses, and we totally decorate their room. We put big posters with their name and number and "go" etc. on them (of course when they are not home. we usually have their parent's help) and confetti and little treats and put them in their room or on their car. It is exciting, because the players never know when their turn is, and it is fun for them. Every starting player gets this at least once a year.
