Ha, right!  The Final Chapter!  That's a good one!

Anyway, the movie with yet more flashbacks, to the previous 3 films, letting
everyone know who Jason is (in case you haven't heard of him).  Then, the
story starts right where the last movie ended.  The aftermath of the
killings near the barn, with Jason's "dead" body (and axe still in his head)
lying on the ground.  Jason is covered up and taken to the morgue.  The
killings are over!  The kids have struck back!  Jason is no more!

Well, not really.  Jason is not dead, as the necrophiliac mortician Axel
soon finds out.  Some more killings, and Jason is back at Crystal Lake.
Amazingly enough, people still live on the Lake.  You would have thought
they'd move away after the dozens of murders.  But, what would the fun be in
that, huh?  So, we have the Jarvis family who live on the lake - Mom,
daughter Trish and son Tommy (played by a young Corey Feldman), who's a
horror/sci-fi enthusiast.  And, we have the house next to theirs that has
been rented out to <surprise> a group of horny teens (who eventually find
some horny twins to party with).  Throw in the brother of one of Jason's
previous victims, and we've got plenty of flesh for the hockey-masked maniac
to shred and puncture!

I guess you can tell there's not much to the plot.  Pretty lackluster.  It
is somewhat saved by the different ending.  The Crystal Lake setting and
house-partying teens is getting rather dull, though.  The acting and script
are poor.  Here's an insult you may want to remember - "You're the Superbowl
of self-abuse."  Not sure what that one means, but I'm sure it's not a
compliment!  There's a good amount of killings (of course), and the effects
are better than the last couple films (thanks to Mr. Savini again).  Jason
is ok in this one, but he's hardly seen.  And when we do see him (and his
face), it's not pretty.  Cool ending with Corey doing his Billy Corgan
impersonation.  Oh, and I forgot to mention cult icon Crispin Glover.  He
plays a "dead fuck" teen, who ends up with a corkscrew through the hand.
Crispin steals the show in the few scenes he has, especially when he dances!
The 3rd worst dance I've seen (See David Hasselhoff in "Revenge of the
Cheerleaders" and Elaine from Seinfeld for the top two).
 
 

Did You Notice:  Ok, I know I said this with Part 3, but in this one,
Jason's face looks totally different than it did in Parts 2 or 3!  He's grey
skinned and monsterous!  I know he "died" and all, but it's only the next
day!
 

Say What? : Here's a line from the mortician, obviously scared - "Jesus
Christmas!  Holy Jesus God-damnit!  Holy Jesus jumping Christmas shit!"
