INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN
(1956)
Starring Lon Chaney Jr.

Lon Chaney is Butcher Benton, a convicted criminal who now faces the
ultimate penalty - death.  Benton robbed an armored car - $600,000 - and hid
the loot.  His accomplices - Paul Lowe, who happens to also be Benton's
lawyer, & his two sidekicks (Squeamy & Joe?) - now want to know where the
money is, but Benton keeps that secret to his execution, vowing revenge on
his backstabbing mates.  So, he's executed, and Lowe doesn't know where the
money is.  However, when he visits Eva, a burlesque dancer who caught
Benton's fancy, he finds that the criminal had sent her a letter, asking her
not to open it unless he died.  Lowe steals the letter - a map detailing
where the loot is hidden.

Meanwhile, Benton's body is brought to a scientist, Prof. Bradshaw, who is
attempting to find a cure for cancer.  He zaps Benton with 300,000 volts of
electricity, and brings him back from the dead.  Apparently, that much
electricity causes one's cells to solidify and makes one inhumanly strong,
and also mute.  Now, Benton is a silent brute, with murder and revenge on
his mind.

This movie wasn't very good.  Chaney hardly gets any lines, and really has a
poor performance.  The story was silly, and there was no real tension or
suspence anywhere.  You knew what was going to happen.  The "love" story
between the cop and the dancer was boring, too.  The one cool thing might be
the ending where Chaney gets shot in the chest with a bazooka, and then
sprayed with flame-throwers, but then the whole electrocution thing was
ridiculous.
