A slasher pic from the early 80s, shot on location in Oregon, where camping teens are attacked by murderous hillbillies.  The film starts out with a couple of drunk hunters, drinking and talking in a neglected church in the woods.  We gore fans are treated to one of their murders as a big ol' machete is inserted into a crotch and out his bum.

Cut to an RV heading into the wilderness full of 5 teenagers.  They're heading up to one of the kid's dad's property to do some camping and hiking.  The teens' rambunctious moods change after hitting a deer, and listening to the ranger's warnings.  The ranger (George Kennedy of Naked Gun fame), who talks to his plants and his horse, tells the kids not to venture up into the mountains.  They decide not to heed the warning, and continue on, only to meet up with the drunken hunter who had escaped the first scene.  He also warns them, of demons in the hills.  They throw the terrified man a sandwich, and keep on truckin'.

They finally make it to the property, and do some hiking and camping, and of course, skinny dipping!  After playing loud music and dancing into the night, some mountain folk take offense and shoot their boom box!  How are they going to enjoy their music and dance by the campfire now?  Silly old man!  He gives them yet another warning, which again, goes unheeded.

Well, as it turns out, there is a killer loose in the woods.  One ugly fellow, with a whiny laugh and a big blade.  He hunts down the kids, and even after one is murdered, they don't leave!  Well, they'll all have to pay for their trespassin into the woods!  And we have to pay too, by watching this movie.  Actually, it's not that bad.  It's not particularly good, either, but I've definitely seen worse.  The bad acting, and cliched characters are in effect, as is the predictable suspence and storyline.  There is some gore, but not much.  Plus, one interesting course of action that surprised me, at the very end, which I won't spoil for you.  Other than that, though, it's run-of-the-mill, low-budget slasher in the woods flick.
