NACHO
CHIHUAHUA:
THE
MOVIE
(1998)
Starring
a couple of dogs

I don't even want to
spend time writing a review for this. It's a live
action movie about a
boy who finds a chihuahua in a box at an amusement park
sideshow. They
grow up together and then the dog (Nacho) runs away with his
love, El Nina.
The dogs run down the street (only because the filmmakers
left pieces of dogfood
along the way - at which the dogs make sure to stop
and eat) and encounter
other talking animals on their way to Nacho's home
"south of the border".
It's made worse by the human actors and the nonstop
animal puns and terms
of endearment between Nacho and El Nina (example,
"come here, my little
guacamole dip"). There is not one reason I could
recommend this to anyone.
Oh, there was one good thing... The box said it
is 55 minutes long,
but it's only about half an hour, with an episode of
"The Andy Griffith Show"
supplementing the runtime at the end. Don't ask -
I don't know.
