troma:
keeping your word is a sign of professionalism

i am not sure if it is a good idea about trashing this company, it would surely be cutting my own throat...

alright you talked me into it.

troma is one of the most poorly operated studios. there movies are cool, but there people behind the scenes who work with publicity are braindead. i met two of their operatives at the 'cult movies magazine' convention awhile back, i took a chance and asked them if they would like me to play clips of their trailers and give out their website info every week.

i forgot his name, but he's from england and his first name initial started with an '' f ', said, that would be awesome. he also said they can bring captain kabuki, toxie and more important, the tromettes. he called me back and asked if they could come on a certain date, i had the usual weirdos attending that day, but i asked them to come the week after because i wanted to focus the whole hour for troma.

time comes to start the show and no troma. i had to call troma myself the week later to see what happened. the f guy said, "oh man, was that last week when we we're suppose to show up? oh man i'm sorry shadow."

he was busy, i understand, then he asked to come on the next friday, i said sure after he added that i would be hooked up with alot of giveaways for the viewers. i wanted this to work out, so i had a friend of mine catering for that friday.

time comes to start, no troma again. i called them later that day after paying the catering bill. i talked to f again.

"ohhh sh&^, man i'm sorry, i f&*^ed up again."

i then told him, "hey dude, if you don't want to come on the show because we suck and small time, that's cool, just say so."

"no man, we want to come on, i just have been busy."

"that's fine, but at least give me a call so i don't look more stupid than i already do!!!!!!!!!!!"

"no man, give us another chance. will be there for sure."

i called their new york main office and talked to josh, one of their main public relation guys. i told him about the situation and maybe it was easier to work with him. he then apologized.

i said no problem, all i wanted to know if they we're coming are not. he said the los angeles guys we're goof offs and mr. kauffman was going to be in the area and he himself would come on to make up for the blundering.

i think you can guess what happened when it was time to start the show on the third scheduled guest spot.

troma is a somewhat big horror film company, my little advertising would not help much if any, but if you are too stupid to make commitments that you can't keep, it's simple, DON'T.

this probably means troma will never come on the show, but they haven't come anyway and i'll save money on another catering.

the nightshadow.
