Peppy Brown

Beauty and Sweetness

Peppy age 3

"Mama! Would you make daddy take those bows off my head. That old woman who groomed me stuck them in there. She must of thought I was a girl. Please, Mama!"

Daddy took them out immediately, for Peppy never did like the bows in his ears at all.

"Ok, dad, it may be 15 degrees outside and the snow is 4 inches deep, but I have my coat on and I really need to go for a walk. .....Bad, come on dad, let's go."

Here we are in the Kitchen of our new home after moving from the apartment and buying this house on Dana Ave in Waukegan. Peppy loved this place. There were rabbits and squirrels in the backyard for him to chase. And chase them he did. Of course that is all, he never got to catch either. But he gave them a run for the money. Sometimes the rabbit would be real still and he would nearly stumble over it before he saw it.

These two had long ago became inseparable and if Mama was home, he was in her lap, if she had gone out then he would stay in daddy's lap. But he liked it best, if he had to stay with Daddy, for Daddy to get down and play with him with his toys.

This is my bear and you can't get it

"This is my bear and you can't get it before I tear your hand up" Peppy said with his sparkling dark brown eyes. Daddy replied "Peppy, daddy may not be very smart, but I know that what you say is a fact. But not being very smart I will try."   Later-- "Mama, where is the iodine and bandages" daddy asked. Peppy's laughing eyes said to me "Daddy, I still have the bear and I hope I did not tear your hand up too much, you have to go to work tomorrow."
