| Story #1 Sick PART TWO |
| Meowth woke up early that morning and looked over at James. Jesse had fallen asleep with her hand on James' head. Meowth smiled to himself. He wasn't sure what to think of them together. Were they partners in crime, or partners in life? He walked over to Jesse and put his paw on her shoulder. She woke up suddenly and looked down at James. She felt his pusle and his head immediately. "He's O.K" Meowth said. Jesse blushed. "We need help," Jessie proclaimed, "so I'm calling The Boss. "How?" Meowth asked. "I'm going into town. You stay here with James." She ordered, slipping an orange sweater over her "R" uniform. No one could know she was from Team Rocket. "Watch James Meowth." Jesse commanded as she left. Meowth knew she really meant it. It was a brisk morning. The sun had just began to peak out from behind the trees and morning fog. She walked sternly and swiftly, the only thing on her mind being "get to town, fast." She walked into town. The milk truck had just started delivering milk to people's doors and a single business man came marching down the street. "Good-day Ma'am." He said as he aproched her. "Uh, Sir." Jesse called. "Yes." He replied politely. "Do you know where the nearest payphone is?" Jesse asked. " Oh. Hmmmm. I just passed one on the corner of Thistle Street." He said. "Thank you." Jesse replied. She tried to walk past but he put a hand on her shoulder. Jesse was startled. "Something is troubling you. What?" he asked. "Oh, nothing." Jesse replied weakly. "Well, good day then." He said and walked off. "How did he know something was wrong?" she asked heself. "I must look less obvious." She thought. She started whistling as she walked over to Thistle Street. There, on the corner was a payphone. Jesse pulled out a dime and inserted it in the slot. She dialed the number slowly, then it started to ring. "Hello?" Asked a deep and dangerous voice. "Boss, Sir? It's Jesse." She said, trying to sound confident. "What! I told you incompetents NEVER to call me again!" He said sharply. "But Sir, It's very important." She said swallowing. "It better be!" He said angrily. "Well, James... James is sick-" She started but was cut off. "THAT'S ALL? You call me early in the morning for your nothingness! Call me ever again and you're FIRED!" Giovanni exclaimed. "Boss! He's in trouble! We need money for medicine, or a doctor- please Sir!" She yelled into the phone but he had already hung up. She sank to her knees and started to cry hystericly. |
