OK, well first, i guess you might want to know a bit about the charity. Well it cares for all sorts of animals, at the moment these include, cats, dogs, ponies, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, rats (the wild and the tame kind!!!), and hedgehogs. There are several 'resident' animals (basically the ones that have been there for a very long time! they are up for re-homing, but no-one has come forward!!). Toffee and Nutty are 2 little shetlands, toffee is just 2 and nutty is 24! There are also someother ponies, shannon, doodle abd Benson, but they are in thier summer field right now! They are all 13-14hh. Shannon is Palomino, Doodle is brown and Benson is grey (almost white!)
Indy is the resident Greyhound, he is not up for re-homing, he is a black ex-racer, and is pretty old (don't know how old, he was a stray!). Up until a few weeks ago there was another Greyhound that lived with Indy, but she unfortuneately had to be put to sleep through cancer.
Another of the 'colourful' characters at animal rescue is bagheera, the feral cat! We had a lot fo fun catching him once for his injections! He hates human contact and spend most of the time under a shed in the cat house! |
