Faustino VII 2000 Cosecha. Red Rioja.
Rather dry out of the bottle even after 25 minutes of breathing, but some serious fruit undertones are apparent.  Obvious and prevalent flavours of cherry pit and a more subtle oak taste.  Dryness dissipates as the glass empties, but the bitterness of the cherry pit remains.  Not necessarily a good wine for one who prefers their reds soft.  7.6/10
