Champions League
A. The League

This league runs concurrently with the English Premier League season with nine private groups participating for the 1st time since 02/03 season.

It consists of a 6-game round robin group stage with each team playing one home and away matches against the other teams within the group. The top 2 teams of each group will advanced to the knock-out round of 16. They will play two matches against each other on a home and away basis, with the team scoring the greater aggregate of goals qualifying for the next round. In case of a tie, the team which scores more away goals qualifies.

The two teams that advance from the knock-out round contest the final, held in a single match in week 38.

B. The Teams

The top three teams with the highest fantasy points earned from each of the participating groups qualified automatically after Week 21, plus another five best finisher of the groups. There will be a total of 32 participants.

However, ONLY 1 team is allowed for each manager during qualifying stage.

C. Grouping

32 participating teams are divided into eight groups of four teams each: Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, Group E, Group F, Group G and Group H.

D. Seeding

Seeding will be based on Yahoo's standing (fantasy points) and in the following manner:

Group A: 1, 9, 17, 25
Group B: 2, 10, 18, 26
Group C: 3, 11, 19, 27

However, to make the result more realistic, the score line will be reduced by subtracting the winning club score against the losing club. eg. 7 - 4 result will become 3 - 0.

F. Scoring System

3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and 0 point for a loss.

G. Tie-Breakers

In the event of a tie in points during the group stage, the tie-breakers will be based on:

1. Goal Difference.
2. Winner of the match played between these teams.
3. Most wins.
4. Best standing in Yahoo.

In the knock-out rounds, the tie-breakers will be based on:
