Splitting audio and video for use with Avisynth 2.08
Load your mpg or vob in Virtualdub MPEG2.
Audio-Full processing mode-Audio-compression select uncompressed PCM
Then File Save Wav
V important-if your video is xxx.mpg-save wavfile as xxx.mpg.wav in the same folder as xxx.mpg-if your video is xxx.vob-save wavfile as xxx.vob.wav in the same folder as xxx.vob.
Copy
cleaner for 2.08
to your avisynth 2.08 plugins folder.
Now add following file to your Virtualdub Mod templates folder
Basic template for loading mpg/vob with 2.08
Load any mpg or vob(after having saved wav file as above) with above template in Virtualdub mod and it will load both the video and the audio and create an avs file.
You can use the avs file either to encode to avi or to rmvb!!

Using Virtualdub plugins in avisynth
You can use these with avisynth 2.08(98 and ME?) or 2.5.5(XP and 2000?)
1. Correcting faded colors and dark videos
Download
Virtualdub autolevel loader
and  add it to your avisynth plugins folder.

Add  following line  to your avs  file
autolevel(20,0,0,0)
and save before loading for encoding to avi or rmvb-you will not need to go through the complex route in
Basic Avisynth

2.Adding logo
Download
Vdub logo for avisynth
Add following line
to your avs script
logo(x,y,"locationof 24 bit bmpfile")
x is pixels to right from top left corner of video
y is pixels down from top left corner of your video.
Within quotes put the full path of your bmp file
and save.
Convert to avi or rmvb.
