The Ixil Triangle offers numerous attractions to national and international tourists.  Three main towns make up the Ixil Triangle, Nebaj, Chajul and Cotzal.  All of these towns are rich in artisan and cultural traditions.   The Ixil Triangle, with more than 100,000 persons, is only six hours away from the capital of Guatemala by vehicle and 45 minutes by small plane or helicopter.

In Nebaj you will be cordially and personaly welcomed by José Francisco Lux, General Manager and Owner of the Hotel Casa Shalom.  Mr. Lux is originally from the Department of Quiché and has extensive knowledge of areas that are of interest to tourists.  He is always available to arrange group tours to various touristic sites. Mr. Lux is a founding member of the Chamber of Commerce of Nebaj with representation in Chajul and Cotzal.  He is also an active member of the current Board of Directors.

The Hotel Casa Shalom has a restaurant that is opened from 7:30 AM to 9:00 PM.  The restaurant offers a varied menu of international and typical food choices.  We can arrange servings for tour groups or persons that are attending seminar or courses in the area.  Just call us and we will gladly serve you. Your satisfaction is our priority.

Hotel Casa Shalom can organize for individuals or groups visits to various sites of tourist interest in the Ixil Triangle or Guatemala in General.  Some of the sites of interest to tourist in the Ixil Triangle include, Acul, Chajul and Cotzal.  The Departmental Capital City of Santa Cruz del Quiche and the famous Chichicstenango Market.  Other sites of interest to tourist include Solola and Panjachel at Lake Atitlan, known as one of the most beautiful lakes in the world with its majestic volcanoes.  We will gladly orient you in your tour suggesting sites to visit inside and outside the region.  Just ask us and we will accommodate you with competitive prices.  We have a modern Toyota microbus with air condition waiting for you.
