About
the band
|
|
Jim Perry:
Guitars, Keyboards, Vocals
Jim has been bringing his talents to Central Massachusetts audiences
since the 1970's. His unique guitar stylings and personal, yet powerful
songwriting skills are borne from years of experience and dedication.
With bands such as Albatross, The Heartbeats, The Reflectors and Tornado
Alley, Perry has spent 30 years on the front lines of the New England
rock scene. Jim still manages to keep his hand on the pulse of today's
music scene while never forgetting where it all came from.

Ron
Ouimette:
Drums
Ron and Jim hooked up in 1995, and Jim knew he found the perfect backbone
for his music. Playing drums since childhood, Ron spent many years
honing his skills in various style bands. This experience taught Ron
to be a songwriter's drummer, always enhancing the song, yet his creative
juices sneak through at the right time and make listeners sit up and
take notice. His boyish enthusiasm in Hothouse's live shows draw audiences
into the music.

Glenn
DiTommaso:
Bass Guitar
Every great band needs a solid foundation, and Glenn is, simply put,
a rock. His musical skills go beyond his bass, having played other
instruments in the past. His understanding of music theory shows in
his command of always choosing the perfect notes to play to offset
what Jim is doing on guitar. And he still manages to always be locked
in the rhythm with Ron.

Mike
Lanagan: Guitars, Vocals
Mike Lanagan joined Hothouse after having performed in various cover
bands over the last 25 years, most notably the popular Windsong. Now
Now Mike is finally flexing his creative muscle in an original music
environment. His fiery guitar playing and soulful singing are a perfect
compliment to Jim's musical approach, and together they climb
to higher levels.

"Ace" LaForce: Harmonica
"Ace" LaForce, the newest member of Hothouse, has single
handedly brought the energy of the live shows up to a new level. When
he steps up to rip off one of his patented harp solos, the audience
response seems to get a bit louder. This intensity comes from years
of jamming in local roadhouses with various blues and R&B bands,
including a stint with the legendary Wilbur & the Dukes.
