"Hollywood Ten"
The "Hollywood Ten" were a group of writers and directors who refused to testify in front of the HUAC for their affiliation with CPUSA (Communist Party USA).  They were jailed under contempt of Congress for refusing to "name names" of people who were thought to be communist.  They were then blacklisted from Hollywood for years.
