Chapter 11

The whole place was dark and foggy. Large, shiny, glowing orbs floated randomly in order. It seemed to surround a motionless figure, lying in that unknown reality. It was none other than Cloud.

The swirling bright light caused discomfort to Cloud, and caused his eyes to flicker irritably. He groaned, as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. When he was fully awake, he was horrified that he was in an unknown world.

"Where... where am i??" Cloud groaned, as he fumbled through the darkness. He stood up as he looked around frantically. "WHERE AM I?? SEPHIROTH??!!" Cloud yelled, as he turned his head in all directions. Suddenly, a low chuckle echoed the whole place. Purple aura began to swirl as the figure began to appear gradually. It was Sephiroth, with his dragon wings fanned out majestically. Cloud's eyes glared with anger at his archenemy. "Where am i, Sephiroth?"

"Right... here." Sephiroth smiled coldly, as he pointed at Cloud's forehead. Cloud's eyes widened and fell backwards. "In... in my own head??"

Cloud spun his head around. Moving pictures of various events and people gleamed in the shiny orb. He stared at one of the orbs. It had the picture of Sephiroth.

"What... what are all these??" Cloud stammered, as he touched the orb gingerly. It was cold.

"These orbs are fragments of your memories. Every event, every people you know... are stored here." Sephiroth eyes gleamed with the light of the orbs. Beads of sweat trickled down from the sides of Cloud's forehead. "How... how did you get me here??"

Sephiroth swung back her silver haired head and laughed like a hyena. "How? I don't have the need to tell you... because..." Suddenly, the glowing orb with Cloud's hands on it shattered into tiny bits of glass. Cloud's eyes widened and glared at Sephiroth. "Wha..?!"

"Once the glowing orbs shatter, you won't remember a single thing about the person pictured on the orb."

"Wh..o who are you???" Cloud stammered, as he looked at Sephiroth with his frantic eyes. Sephiroth laughed as he tugged Cloud's hair and threw him away. Then, orbs with pictures of Vincent, Cait Sith, Tseng being killed, his first meeting with Reno, all shattered away into fragments, one by one. Cloud fell onto his knees and screamed. "What... is happening to me???" Cloud whispered, with his whole body trembling with unknown fear within him.

"Aeris!!"
