" They could be anywhere!" Cid said. " We'll never find em'!"
Cid and Barret wandered through The City of Junon, searching for Cloud and Sephiroth, while Cait Sith started looking through some other towns and cities.
They had told Red and Yuffie over the PHS to look through Midgaard. But they received no reply.
" Excuse me sir, but would you like to buy.... WAIT! Are'nt you Barret! From AVALANCHE!" A young boy asked.
" Yeah. That's Barret!" Cid replied. " And you're...umm you're a umm friend of Barrets!" The child said quite happily.
Cid muttered something and walked away calling for Cloud. " Well kid, I gotta be going. Me and my, friend are searching for our other friend Cloud."
" WOW the REAL Cloud Strife!! Can I come!?!" the kid asked. " Well its quite dangerous kid. I'm not really sure if you should come or not."
" I can fight, if that's what you mean! I can fight real good." Barret struggled, trying to think of a way to tell the kid he could'nt come without hurtin his feelings. Barret knew how upset a kid can get. " Well whatta bout' your parents?" Barret asked.
" Well umm.... I dont have any parents..." The kid said slowly. " But PLEASE take me. Here watch this." The kid placed his basket of goods down, and pointed at a street sign.
Pulling a small dagger from his pocket he cried. " Energy Strike!" At first nothin seemed to happen. Then the kid began to glow. Finally he rushed at the sign and thrust the dagger straight through it. Flying back, a bolt of green light hit the sign, melting it.
Barret was stunned. This kid really had inner power. " Whass your name kid?" Barret asked, still amazed at what he just saw.
" ¥eÅd. ¥eÅd Barrows." The kid said.
" yeah, Yee haw..... I'll just call ya kid ok?" Barret said.
The kid smiled happily. " Lets go Mr. Wallace." " Barret, call me Barret."
" Excuse me, but have you seen a young man? With Spikey blonde hair. May be traveling alone, or with a silver haired man." The man stared at Cait Sith and just walked away.
Cait Sith sighed. " No luck, but that'swhat I got." he thought. " You would think people at the Gold Saucer would be happier."
" HAHAHAAH" laughter echoed from the hall. " Finally, a person with a good attitude." Cait Sith said. Smiling he got prepared to ask about Cloud.
Cait Sith nearly dropped his megaphone when he saw Reno and Rude of the Turks come from the hall laughing. " Ahh that was great Rude." Reno said. " Yeah!... Hey wait Its that giant doll Reeve had!" Rude exclaimed.
Reno took his Electro-Rod out. His new and improved weapon was much different. Able to cast all sorts of lightning spells...without materia.
" Listen guys, I dont wanna fight! Cloud was kidnapped by Sephiroth and im just looking for him." Cait Sith said, trying to convince Reno and Rude that he wasn't looking to pick a fight.
" You dont wanna fight?" Reno asked. " Well we do!" He yelled swinging at the giant doll.
" Yeah!" Rude said chuckling punching at Cait Sith.
" I dont have time for this!" Cait Sith cried pulling his Ifrit materia out. " HellFire!" A large demon came from the ground spraying fire all over the place. Cait Sith ran out of the Gold Saucer leaving the Turks there.
" Well.... " Reno started to say. " Well what?" Rude asked. " Well...... that's all I got to say." Reno said standing up. " But if Sephiroth is back, we may be having many more fights soon.
Outside the Gold Saucer Cait Sith pulled his PHS out. " Barret, no Cloud at the Gold Saucer..... Not at Junon either?....Ok ill check Rocket Town.....new companion?...... A twelve year old??!!..... ok bye."
Cait Sith closed the PHS and put it away. "Looks like this will be more complicated than we thought."
" Come on! We gonna go check North Coral!" Cid yelled to Barret as he boarded the Tiny Bronco. " Huh? Are you that kid we met?"
" Yeah my name is ¥eÅd Barrows" the kid claimed proudly. " Yea what!?!" Cid said. Barret just smirked. " Just call him kid" Barret offered.
" Well ummm ok, well guess we gotta get a move on."
¥eÅd stuck his head out the window, and felt the wind press against him as the Tiny Bronco took off. " Look at me!! Im with AVALANCHE!!" He yelled. " This is gonna be fun." He thought.
