Sites about Dizziness

These are some links to sites I recommend to anyone who's searching for information regarding dizziness and balance disorders.

The Vestibular Disorders Association (VEDA) is a non-profit organization based in Portland, OR that can provide people with a wealth of dizziness information and support references. Membership is highly recommended; it's well worth the dues.

The Vestibular Disorders Hotsheet is another comprehensive site worth checking out. It features a "coping" space where folks can share their feelings and experiences with other visitors.

Other noteworthy dizziness-related sites include:

Information on Dizziness & Hearing Disorders (Timothy C. Hain, MD)
Johns Hopkins University Center for Hearing and Balance
University of Wisconsin - Madison
Dizziness Explained
Wobblers Anonymous (Lynn Brown's Ototoxicity Site)

Hearing-related Sites

I'm including the following links because dizziness problems are often accompanied by hearing disorders, and vice-versa.

Self Help for Hard of Hearing People (SHHH)
SHHH - WNY Chapter
American Tinnitus Association
Nat'l Institute on Deafness & Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD)
Hearing Loss Resources
Cindy's Homepage on ASL and Deaf Culture
ASL Finger-spelling

Please note: None of the information presented at this site, and/or via the related liks, is intended to be medical advice or a substitute for professional medical care.
