Strut Records was the first label to officially release some of Danny Krivit's editing skills:
"As well as general one-off 12" titles, the label will be releasing a series of 12"s branded around individual producers. The first series will be focusing on the re-edit skills of New York's Danny Krivit, resident DJ at the Body & Soul club night. Krivit has been re-editing and releasing classics since the early 80s and this represents the first time one of his works has ever been made officially available. The 12" series kicks off with a new version of the Salsoul classic, 'Everyman' by Double Exposure. The original track previously only available as an album cut and is provides the basis for the huge new M&S record, 'Salsoul Nugget' (FFRR). This is flipped with Chi Lites' 'My First Mistake', a classic Krivit re-edit from the early 90s re-made for 2000 "

Danny Krivit of Body and Soul on Japan: "IS JAPAN THE SAME VIBE AS BODY & SOUL?
Body and Soul is a little more predictable in the sense of, this is my room, and I know what they know and what they like. Wwhen I play a house song from the 80's or the early 90's I know that I'm going to get this response or not when it comes in. In Japan, they appreciate more. But I can't anticipate that I know this song is going to get them go, "Woo!" They basically like more of the rare stuff, I basically play classics that maybe might not get over here, not everybody knows that one, or maybe only a few heads know that. Whereas in Japan, they seem to know more of the rare stuff. They are more into variety and rarities. I certainly have very extreme tastes in music. What I consider the best in what I'm playin, is usually the best reaction I'm getting there. It's very rewarding. "
