Most fans of underground house
will have heard songs like the nu-disco classics "In
The Trees" with Faze Action and
Yellow Sox's "Flim
Flam". They have also released sublime drum'n'bass
from bands like Larceny and Brubaker.
The label was set up by David Hill and Savash Remzi
in January 1995, with the objective of releasing contemporary
jazz-music, in the broadest sense of the word. Both
David and Savash are known for their activities elsewhere.
David is a part of the Ballistic Brothers and
Savash
manages the Blue Note club.
One noticeable thing that evokes great joy when you
listen to Nuphonic songs, is the fact that you always
hear new ideas and new sounds. It doesn't matter whether
it's a drum'n'bass cut or something else, every record
I've heard from the label has opened doors into another
world of sound. I sincerely hope that David and Savash
stick to their original motto and continue to release
quality music whether it's drum'n'bass, house, hip
hop og soul. Long live the underground!
