KEEP BELIEVING IN YOURSELF

There may be days when you get up in the morning
And things aren't the way you had hoped they would be.
That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better.
There are times when people disappoint you and let you down,
But those are the times when you must remind yourself to
trust your own judgments and opinions,
And to keep your life focused on believing in yourself
And all that you are capable of.

There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life,

And it is up to you to accept them.

Constantly keep yourself headed in the right directions for you.

It may not be easy at times,

But in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are,

And you will also see yourself developing into the person

you have always wanted to be.

Life is a journey through time.....filled with many choices;

Each of us will experience life in our own special way.

So....when the days come that are filled with frustration

and unexpected responsibilities,

Remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be,

Worth While

It is easy enough to be pleasant, When life flows by like a song, But the man worth while is one who will smile, When everything goes dead wrong. For the test of the heart is trouble, And it always comes with the years, And the smile that is worth the praises of earth Is the smile that shines through tears. It is easy enough to be prudent, When nothing tempts you to stray, When without or within no voice of sin Is luring your soul away; But it's only a negative virtue Until it is tried by fire, And the life that is worth the honor of earth Is the one that resists desire. By the cynic, the sad, the fallen, Who had no strength for the strife, The world's highway is cumbered to-day; They make up the sum of life. You Never Can Tell

You never can tell when you send a word Like an arrow shot from a bow By an archer blind, be it cruel or kind, Just where it may chance to go. It may pierce the breast of your dearest friend, Tipped with its poison or balm, To a stranger's heart in life's great mart It may carry its pain or its calm. You never can tell when you do an act Just what the result will be, But with every deed you are sowing a seed, Though the harvest you may not see. Each kindly act is an acorn dropped In God's productive soil; You may not know, but the tree shall grow With shelter for those who toil. You can never tell what your thoughts will do In bringing you hate or love, For thoughts are things, and their airy wings Are swifter than carrier doves. They follow the law of the universe - Each thing must create its kind, And they speed o'er the track to bring you back Whatever went out from your mind.

It Couldn't Be Done

Somebody said that it couldn't be done, But he with a chuckle replied That "maybe it couldn't," but he would be one Who wouldn't say so till he'd tried. So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin On his face. If he worried he hid it. He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it. Somebody scoffed: "Oh, you'll never do that; At least no one ever has done it"; But he took off his coat and he took off his hat, And the first thing we knew he'd begun it. With a lift of his chin and a bit of a grin, Without any doubting or quiddit, He started to sing as he tackled the thing That couldn't be done, and he did it. There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done, There are thousands to prophesy failure; There are thousands to point out to you, one by one, The dangers that wait to assail you. But just buckle in with a bit of a grin, Just take off your coat and go to it; Just start to sing as you tackle the thing That "cannot be done," and you'll do it.

Don't Quit

When things go wrong, as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When the funds are low and the debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest, you must - but don't you quit Life is queer with its twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don't give up, though the pace seems slow - You might succeed with another blow. Often the goal is nearer than It seems to a faint and faltering man, Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor's cup. And he learned too late, when the night slipped down, How close he was to the golden crown. Myself I have to live with myself, and so I want to be fit for myself to know, I want to be able, as days go by, Always to look myself straight in the eye; I don't want to stand, with the setting sun, And hate myself for the things I have done. I don't want to keep on a closet shelf A lot of secrets about myself, And fool myself, as I come and go, Into thinking that nobody else will know The kind of a man I really am; I don't want to dress up myself in a sham. I can never hide myself from me; I see what others may never see; I know what others may never know, I never can fool myself, and so, Whatever happens, I want to be Self-respecting and conscience free. Climb Till Your Dreams Come True Often your tasks will be many and more than you think you can do-- Often the road will be rugged and the hills insurmountable too-- But always remember, the hills ahead are never as steep as they seem and with faith in your heart start upward and climb till you reach your dream-- For nothing in life that is worthy is ever too hard to achieve if you have the courage to try it and you have the faith to believe-- For faith is a force that is greater than knowledge or power or skill and many defeats turn to triumph if you trust in Gods wisdom and will. Good Enough Is Neither All too often 'good enough' is where the weak hearts stop. It keeps the very best in each from coming to the top. 'Enough' implies just gettin' by and 'good' falls short of best. So 'good enough' is average stuff and seldom meets the test. The ones who 'shine' and seem to find success are those who dare To charge right past old 'good enough' and show the world they care. Never being satisfied with just an average plan, They work and think and push themselves to do the best they can. Remember that the choice is yours and you alone choose either, But those who 'shine' are those who know that 'good enough' is neither. Back to the menu

Play in the Day Your In Beaten down, battered, broken, afraid Will pain go away if I'm strong? I'm Learning How Every day I'm learning how To walk a straighter mile, I've even found a way to greet A sadness with a smile. I have discovered inner strength, I knew not I possessed, A quiet peace that flutters, Like a dove within my breast. Hope...is antiepileptic drugs for the person with seizures. Hope...is brain surgery for the person with a brain tumor. Hope...is a shunt for the person that is hydrocephalic. Hope...is public transportation for those that can not drive. Hope...is food for those that are poverty stricken. Hope...is peace for those that live in war zones. Hope...is the twelve step program for the alcoholic. Hope...is a letter from family for the soldier away from home. Hope...is a friend that loves and cares unconditionally. Hope...is a dry place to sleep for the homeless. Hope...is a ray of sunshine, after a devastating storm. Hope...is not a gift, it cannot be given. Hope...is not tangible, it cannot be stolen. Hope...cannot be bought for any amount of money. Hope...is the desire to overcome the odds. Hope...is the desire to fight back. Hope...is belief in yourself, above all others. Hope...comes from within the heart and soul. Hope...is striving to be as successful as possible. Hope...is accepting limitations. Hope...is forgiveness.
