My name is Michael Block and I am a Psychiatrist who lives and works in Melbourne Australia. I graduated in Medicine in 1980 and I finished my specialist psychiatry training in 1997. I have had an interest in perinatal psychiatry for about 6 years now - this developed during my psychiatric training. I now work as a psychiatrist for 3 1/2 days a week an a mixture of public and private practice. My public practice is at Frankston and Rosebud Hospitals, where I have established a 4 bed mother & baby unit. I see about 100 new cases of perianatal psychiatric problems each year.

My private practice is at Albert Road Clinic where I see both perinatal psychiatry and adolescents.
