Aired April 4, 1998 - 9:00 p.m. ET

  EXTRACTO DE LA ENTREVISTA

KING: We're back with Celine Dion. Boy, time goes fast. Your involvement with cystic fibrosis is you lost a family member.

DION: We've lost one of our nieces in the family, who passed away three years ago, four years ago -- no, three years ago. And she passed away in my arms. And it was like -- the whole family was there.

KING: How old was she?

DION: She was 16. It was -- you know, it's a difficult moment, of course, especially Kelin (ph) the one who passed away and specially for my sister, the mother, but at the same time, it's -- when a person, you know, is looking for every breath that she takes and it's like they're suffering all the time...

KING: Better off?

DION: It's kind of -- you know, I was so proud that she kind of asked me -- chosen me in a way to escort her to death, to escort her to paradise, heaven, it gave me a lot of strength, a lot.
