Contrary to popular myth, you can achieve the physique you've always wanted by working out for only about 1 hour, 3-4x times a week :)

HI! and welcome to my World-Wide-Web PERSONAL HOMEPAGE!

Since this is my PERSONAL HOMEPAGE, you'll also find my personal info, photo albums, interests, passions, and an assorted medley of fun stuff in addition to the "results-only" tips on Bodybuilding, Fatloss, Gymnastics, Martial Arts, Motivation/Zen/Positive Mental Focus, & Tantra ;) (Exercising my creative license on my homepage is another creative form of self-expression for me :)

I lost both my parents when I was 4 years-old (I grew up very independant & tough) so my Passion in Life is to make the World a Brighter, Warmer place--to help & EMPOWER others to be the best they can be & feel Inspired about living Life to the Fullest while we still can --to squeeze every drop & Spread as Much HAPPINESS as Possible out of each Precious Moment of Life :)"Every moment is a memory in the making"--let's make them happy memories worth remembering--for Everyone :)

It's why I do&teach Martial Arts(Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, Black Belt- 1st dan)(I teach VERY LETHAL JAPANESE JIU-JITSU MOVES LIKE THROAT STRIKES, A RMBREAKERS/JOINT BREAKERS,etc :), teaching & inspiring others to Be Even More Confident, Stronger, Independant, & Tougher!) (volunteer teach Martial-Arts/self-defense seminars at the Child Abuse Prevention Centers & Battered Women's/RapePrevention Centers by teaching LETHAL Japanese Jiu-Jitsu moves!) --Martial Arts is also great for teaching/learning Honor & Respect & how to help & appreciate others) & teach Flips/Gymnastics (teach tumbling/gymnastics to cheerleading/dance teams too). I like teaching & inspiring others to be even More Independant, Confident, Strong & Tough along with Spreading my Martial Arts philosphy of Spiritual Enlightenment :) It's my own way of Making the World a Better Place by Helping Teach & Inspire Others to be Empowered, Strong, Independant, Tough, & Confident from Knowing You Kick the a$$ & Break the Bones of Any Guy who dares to bother you (Throat strikes & Joint Breakers rule!) LOL :P Paradoxically, this makes You Very Calm & Confident with an Inner Harmony that Gives You the Feeling You Can Handle Anything & Everything In Life that Comes Your Way :P

Interestlingly enough, have you ever noticed that almost all superheroes like Spider-Man, Batman, DareDevil, Superman, almost all the X-Men, etc. all had their parents killed? It gives them the motivation to make the world a better place while at the same time making them tough bad-asses who don't hesitate to kick-ass :P My philosphy is to make the world a better place, to spread cheer & happiness & share my philosphies with everyone who are wise enough to seek enlightenment :)

Anyways, Martial Arts & Bodybuilding are AWESOME sports that have given alot to me and others and this website is one way for me to GIVE BACK to them as well as make a POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION to the world at large:)

(There is a drop-down Table of Contents/MENU at the TOP of your screen! :) All the "results-only" tips & information is collectively introduced on this main entry page to entice you to read all of them because each section is part of a greater whole (hence the title of "A Unified Collection of Tips on..." :) so make sure you read each section to maximally benefit from all my tips (There is a easily accessible table of contents/MENU at the TOP of your screen) For maximum efficiency, be sure to browse with at least 2 windows open so you can read one webpage while another webpage downloads :)
Positive or Negative

Focusing on the positive does not mean ignoring the negative. It is unrealistic and detrimental to deny that negative things exist.

Positive focus is determined more by how you respond than by how you perceive. There is no positive value in refusing to see or acknowledge your problems. In fact, that could be very harmful.

A positive attitude is not achieved by turning a blind eye to the negative, but rather by responding to every situation in the most positive way possible.

See negative things for what they are, and then respond with positive action. Acknowledge and accept the problems, the difficulties, the shortcomings, the abuses, and then do something positive about them. Denial and evasion will do nothing to address your problems. Positive action will

I love inspirational quotes..they inspire us to live better, feel better, give us hope & increase our joy & appreciation, help us get thru the challenges we all face to get to the happier times we all seek :)
Here's one of my favs by Rudyard Kipling:
If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;

If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;

If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;

If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it
Risk It

To laugh is to risk being a fool.
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement.
To express feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
To place your ideas, your dreams, before the crowd
Is to risk their loss.

To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To live is to risk dying.
To hope is to risk despair.
To try is to risk failure.

The person who risks nothing,
Does nothing,
Has nothing and is nothing.

They may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But they simply cannot learn,
Feel, change, grow, love or live.

Risks must be taken because,
The greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
Only a person who risks is free

(Yah, I love that song "Put A Little Love In Your Heart"--
Think of your fellow man
Lend him a helping hand
Put a little love in your heart
You see it's getting late
Oh, please don't hesitate

Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see

Another day goes by
And still the children cry
Put a little love in your heart
If you want the world to know
We won't let hatred grow

Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see, wait and see

Take a good look around
And if you're lookin' down
Put a little love in your heart
And I hope when you decide
Kindness will be your guide

Put a little love in your heart
And the world will be a better place
For you and me
You just wait and see

Put a little love in your heart
Each and every day
Put a little love in your heart
There's got to be a better way

Put a little love in your heart
Don't you think it's time we start
Put a little love in your heart"
-- what goes around comes around--and the more happiness you spread, the more happiness others will be willing to spread themselves & it'll come back to you :)

"
LOOK TO TRUTH FOR AUTHORITY; DO NOT LOOK TO AUTHORITY FOR TRUTH"

You can VERIFY everything here on the University of California Melvyl MEDLINE medical database and at www.medscape.com(the fastest) or at www.healthgate.com with the LATEST SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH DATA--unlike most of the (OUTDATED) misinformation you read in most newspapers and magazines.

A brief athletic/background BIO (otherwise known as "credentials/expertise/or why I know what I'm talking about--lol" =): Before I outgrew it & got too tall(about 5'8" now), I was a gymnast at UC Berkeley (I tore my ACL/knee ligament before the season even started so I didn't get to compete--owww!--transfered down to a University of California here in southern California instead--I grew up in and love southern California so glad to be back!). I was premed, studio art, etc. and settled on (finally!)computer science(exploring different majors every semester/quarter is fun!) and researched dozens of papers/science journals /books/medical databases on fatloss, exercise, muscle-growth, nutrition, enhancing athletic/sports performance, etc.

I'm also into bodybuilding and flexiblity/stretching (friends nicknamed me "Van-Damme" because I easily do full splits between two chairs & have a muscular physique) as well as teach martial arts seminars & flips/tumbling/cheerleading classes (teaching others is one of the most rewarding ways of giving back) after computer programming (ASP/Java/C++/HTML/etc) (my major in college).

As an ENFP (and ESFP) personality type (same as Robin Williams/"Captain Wildchild"/Calvin & Hobbes" at times), I've experimented with and tried almost every supplement and exercise program (and most of the ones out there sucked but there are a few good ones)--I'm into everything and can and will try almost everything (I especially like jetskiing, (click here for performing jetskiing tricks), aviation [piloting], sky-diving, scuba-diving, snorkeling, rollerblading, skiing/snowboarding, fencing and other high adrenaline stuff--I used to race my Porsche 968 Cabriolet Convertible at over 153+ MPH (what a rush! :)

Everything I write here can be useful for any and every athlete, recreational or competitive.

I write from personal first-hand EXPERIENCE--everything I've written has been personally tested and passed with flying colors--as well as the LATEST SCIENTIFIC BIOCHEMICAL RESEARCH and it takes a lot for me to recommend anything since I'm an intelligent scientific skeptic (it comes from having a background in (premed) biochemistry at UCBerkeley. (I don't wish to boast so here are some of my credentials to help dispel the stereotype that guys with muscles lack intelligence by showing that you can have muscles as well as brains :-) : UCBerkeley Alumni Leadership finalist, National Merit Finalist-(ranked in the 99.5+% percentile w/1450 S.A.T.s), 5's & 4's on my A.P. tests without studying, 149 I.Q. test results, etc.,etc. (okay, sorry, enough ego-tripping, haha) --I DON'T normally boast --just giving you my credentials & experience (did varsity soccer(team captain) & fencing(saber-UCBerkeley), over 6+ years of martial arts(primary style: Japanese Jiu-Jitsu, 1st dan black belt), ran 5k's & 10k's, lifeguard training & volunteer firefighter training, rockclimbing, swimming, almost every sport there is I've done(it comes from being hyperactive, LOL) --no gullible placebo effect here (I used to be a skeptic about supplements and grew up believing in all the FDA-governmental-mainstream propaganda about "athletes don't need extra PROTEIN , vitamins", etc.,etc. and other B.S. until I actually supplemented [after finding out in my human performance laboratory test lab that I was deficient in zinc, PROTEIN ,& other stuff] and saw my performance and strength skyrocket from good to great--my max bench press went from 225 pounds to 300 pounds :)

"LOOK TO TRUTH FOR AUTHORITY; DO NOT LOOK TO AUTHORITY FOR TRUTH"

MOST of the ATHLETIC-NUTRITION-FATLOSS INFORMATION you read in most magazines, most nutrition textbooks, & newspaper articles that are put out there by supposed "experts" and the government-FDA-mainstream newsmedia are OUTDATED and MISINFORMED (they're biased & more concerned about long-term cardiovascular health than improving your physique/sports performance) (which is why most of those "experts" are STILL flabby and STILL overweight (or STILL scrawny) and so are they're followers--don't become one of those lemmings that are examples of "the blind following the blind".
Look behind the source of any information you get and see if the people following or espousing them have the RESULTS you seek
--(for example, if you want to get CUT/RIPPED, follow the steps of someone's WHO IS CUT/RIPPED, not some nutritional writer/teacher/professor/trainer/dr./whatever who's FLABBY/FAT; if you want to get STRONG/MUSCULAR, learn from someone WHO IS STRONG/MUSCULAR, not weak with pathetic muscle; if you want to become SUCCESSFUL, learn from someone WHO IS SUCCESSFUL, not someone who fails; etc, etc.,-- YOU CAN & WILL SUCCEED if you have the RIGHT METHODS & the RIGHT MINDSET!)

Make sure you read the NUTRITION, EXERCISE, and the POSITIVE MENTAL FOCUS/HEALTH subpages--they're ESSENTIAL info distilled from the hype and propaganda out there! Most of what you read in "mainstream propaganda/nutrition textbooks/newsmedia" are based on flawed studies (they expect results in weeks instead of months, use too low a dosage or inactive ingredients, no double-blind placebo controls, etc.) and just regurgitate the same info/propaganda that's been outdated since 5th grade :)
"If you continue to do what you've always done, you'll continue to get what you've always gotten"

This is a collection of my knowledge and training--they work for me and I'm confident they will work for you in achieving your goals--just imagine how happy you'll be when you've successfully achieved them!

This new page is still in progress so feel free to contribute your own tips/strategies because I sure wish I knew all of this back when I was growing up (of course, some people say I still haven't grown up :) Have fun! In achieving the physique you've always wanted, you'll may be surprised to find that the journey is just as fun as the destination!

As an example(since lots of you have asked for a sample of my training schedule), here's my personal workout schedule & SUMMARY:
Workout 3 to 4 times a week at 24Hour Fitness--lifting 1 hour to 1&half hour
(Day 1 is Chest/abs, Day 2 is Arms/abs, Day 3 is Shoulders/abs, Day 4 is Back/abs) with usually 1 day of rest in between each workout day (weekends are usually off) sometimes I vary it (2 days on, 1 off, or 3 days on & 1 off or 3 days on & 2 off)--that's it--no need to spend too much time in the gym :) You can have a busy, full life and still fit everything all in and have the body you've always wanted :)

I usually do 3-4 exercises (less than 1&half hour in the gym to finish)for 4 sets each (sometimes I VARY them for further stimulation):
(The 4 sets are pyramided at 10,8,6,4 reps on each successive set) (If you're a beginner do only 2-3 exercises for 3-4 sets each)
FITNESS TIPS (from being a former premed Molecular Cell Biology honors major at UCBerkeley on scholarship):

Lift 5 days a week, 1 hr -- then 30+ mins of cardio AFTER weightlifting (3 to 4 sets, 3 to 4 excercises, 6 to 12 reps to exhaustion).

Take at 2-3 grams of fish oils for essential fatty acids omega-3s or flaxseed (fish oil has more health benefits - flaxseed is cheaper -both contain the highest amounts of omega-3's of any food available). CLA's/omega-3's help energy & metabolism as well as health/cardiovascular. Most people are deficient in omega-3's. More flaxseed info

Take a multivitamin that has no iron in it (unless u're a vegetarian) . Too much iron lowers testosterone levels. Get at least 15-30 grams of zinc (needed for testosterone production). Take at least 1 to 3 grams of vitamin C a day

Go high-protein/low carb (low glycemic index vegetables & fruits are okay) -eat 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones. Eat at least 1 gram of protein per lb. of lean mass. One can of tuna = 30 grams of protein. Each oz. of lean meat is equal to about 5 grams of protein so a 6 ounce serving of steak/chicken breast is 30 grams of protein. U can also use protein supplements like Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey 5 lbs - $28 --they vary price from $19 per 5 lbs to $39 per 2 lbs (links at the homepage)

Drink lots of water constantly

U can achieve even more fatloss if u exercise early in the morning if u can before breakfast (zero-calorie drinks only, ephedrine/caffeine dose, exercise, then eat breakfast)

BEST FATLOSS STACK is 20 mg of EPHEDRINE + 200 mg of caffeine + optional 5 mg of yohimbine (per dose, take 2 or 3 doses per day evenly spread out (8am, 12pm, 4pm, etc.) --studies have shown it to acheive more fatloss than even prescription fatloss drugs like phentermine, dexfluramine, phenfen, etc.

http://forum.xtrememass.com/showthread.php?t=495 --greater scientific detail/summary with links to actual scientific studies

Experiences & double-blind placebo controlled studies showed safe & effective (even more effective than prescription fatloss drugs like dexafluramine & phenfen[which is why pharmaceutical companies pressured the FDA to ban it], subjects lost 22 lbs --20 lbs of fat, about 2 lbs of muscle. Placebos who excercised/dieted lost 20 lbs --10 lbs of fat, 10 lbs of muscle. So it doubles fatloss, & saves 90% of your muscle tissue from being cannibalized like it normally would be (whenever you're burning fat, u're also cannibalizing muscle tissue unless you're secreting adrenalin/on ephedrine/caffeine stack) It's safe as long as you're healthy with no prediliction for stroke, heart condtion, prostate cancer, etc.

For NUTRTION/SUPPLEMENTATION, I use daily 6-10 grams of CREATINE monohydrate (after loading), 150+ grams of PROTEIN /day, 3-4+ grams of vitamin C, a multivitamin, 1200mg calcium/400mg magnesium/30mg zinc multimineral, & occasionally "Ripped Fuel" once every 3 months or so when I want to really cut up (am testing 600+mg of androstene/diol on workout days right now). I always eat at least 40+ grams of PROTEIN & 30+ grams of carbs & 6 grams of CREATINE monohydrate immediately after working out.
IF I was on a FATLOSS/CUTTING UP cycle (maybe 1 to 3 times a year for 1 month duration),I up my PROTEIN intake from 33%+ to at least 50%+ (low-carb,hi- PROTEIN is best) & I'd add 30 minutes of cardio exercise(either high-intensity-interval-cardio-training and/or moderate cardio) either first thing after waking up in the morning or immediately AFTER lifting weights in the evening. I'd also add the e/a/c stack (best brand forumula currently I think is GEN Thermonol XS).

Hi! (SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM of this page FOR MORE PHOTOS :) Welcome to Modeling 101 (ha, ha--just kidding --no, I'm not narcissistic--the abs-of-steel pictures were taken casually at a friend's place after a day at the beach(I'm definitely using less suntan oil next time) & posted up because and they serve as proof that my tips get results :)

Most of the pictures were taken a couple of months ago so I'm actually more or less tan depending on winter or summer season (except for my face which I cover when tanning since tanning can give premature wrinkles), ripped, and buff now (getting ready for summer fun in the sun, y'know :) so I'll be adding some new, better pics soon (or whenever I can find the time--I've just discovered photography as a hobby and I love it--I'll be taking pictures of everything all the time ! Hmmm, any modeling agencies/casting directors out there interested in casting a gymnastics version of Van-Damme :)!?

"For fun, you can play "Find Jason's Movado watch and blue pager"--I'm wearing them in every photo ;-)--ha,ha, doesn't it remind you of those old Highlights magazine? :)

You need Explorer 5.0+ or Netscape 4.5+ to view some of the Java-enhanced photos (if using AOL, make sure you turn off image compression under My AOL,Preferences, WWW, Web Graphics, & UNCHECK the "Use compressed graphics" box or the photos will look very fuzzy )

I'm NOTconceited(overconfident, yeah, but not conceited, haha) & only posted my bodybuilding & personal pics up here on my Personal Homepage to prove my fitness tips work & to help destroy the stereotype that intelligent people/programmers,internet users/Asians maybe geeky/nerdy :) To help dispel those negative stereotype is also why I chose the email/id of Rippednbuff@yahoo.com :)

I actually prefer to talk about other people and make others feel good--it's why I volunteered at the Child Abuse Prevention Center & the Battered Women's Shelter (teach self-defense classes) & the animal shelter (walk cute puppies/dogs :) LOL :)

Remember, these sites are just for fun--I don't take them seriously:) (I'm actually pleasantly surprised my final averages scores ranged from 9.9 to 9.3 since I don't give my looks much thought--I see bodybuilding more as a sport where you're an athletic artist sculpting your physique like Renaissance sculptor Michaelangelo sculpting a statue of David)

I had to learn Mixed Martial Arts/Jiu-Jitsu years ago so I could fight off stalkers like these, haha (just kidding --like the 1960's song says, "you better shop around" if you want to find your soulmate (can do kickass pillowfights, graduated from Derek Zoolander's School for Kids Who Can't Read Too Good, integrity/ethical, loving, loyal/faithful, passionate, affectionate, can walk & chew gum at the same time, etc LOL) :P
Jason - Natalie at beach Jason - Jeannette at party/club Jason - Jeanette sitting on me
My favorite beaches in Orange county I live nearby where I often go surfing, cliffdiving, snorkeling at... -- almost like Hawaii - French Riveria (it's known as the "California Riveria", LOL) Top left is Crescent Bay in Laguna Beach, lower left is Clae's/Terrace Restaurant on Main Beach, bottom right is an artist painting Main Beach in Laguna) & the top right is Dana Point)

"Yeah, I have a six-pack--it's in the fridge :)" (just kidding, I dislike beer--yucky taste--but pina coladas, margarietas, & champagne are cool when celebrating (of course, if you drink, don't drive :) Abs-of-steel (oops, I used a bit too much of those artificial self-tanning oil/creams on my chest (heh, I didn't realize it would make my chest too dark--oh well, c'est la vie :)
(although I believe in "live in let live" & equality for everyone, the reasons why I posted these pix is so gay guys stop hitting on me,LOL(I'm 100% STRAIGHT so I'm flattered & appreciate being complimented & hit on by women but not guys) and (for all those of you who asked, I'm mixed 25%white/75% asian & come from a family full of white/Asian intermarriages) to show that asian/white romances are fun & possible as well as showing other asian/white couples that asian/white romances are getting more popular & common--I myself come from a family full of mixed white/Asian intermarriages (from brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, LOL)

(fun trivia: Some famous Eurasian/Amerasian actors/models are Keanu Reeves, Mark Dacascos of "Brotherhood of the Wolf" fame, Dean Cain, Russell Wong, Bruce Lee, Brandon Lee , Phoebe Cates, Talisa Soto, Tia Carrere, Megan Tilly, Jennifer Tilly, Lisa Lord, etc. (just search Yahoo or Internet Movie Database for MUCH more bio links on them--I just put a few quick links here to "People Magagzine's 50 Most Beautiful People" issue (featuring Russell Wong & Keanu Reeves)--one of my sociobiology major friends jokes that the children of most Asian/white parents tend to be good-looking probably because the Asian side contributes smooth, medium-to-high cheekbones (and a non-protuding nose) to the exotic/classic white features idealized in Western popular media, resulting in movie-actor/model good looks--anyways, enough Genetics in Socioboiology 101 :)

(Although I have a care-free, devil-may-care, happy-go-lucky smart-ass attitude, I'm not a player either--I'm a funloving & independant romantic idealist who believes in honesty & loyalty--it's & integrity,LOL--being the NON-jealous type who gives lots of freedom & space, I'm pretty independant & just Reciprocate everything so however I'm treated, I treat her back(I'm happily Loyal as long as she's loyal, if she sees other people, I happily see other people-- either way, I'm still Happy-Go-Lucky cuz I don't take anything too seriously with/my Devil-May-Care carefree atttidude .. haha :) Speaking of which, I value being Honest (I don't kiss a$$ or suck up to anyone but if I see something good, I'll say it), Happy-go-lucky & Good at Making Other People Happy, I'm Carefree/Independant & Easygoing & Confident :)

"A sorrow shared is half a trouble, and joy that's shared is joy made double."

I EARNED my Porsche 968 Convertible all by myself programming&building websites since freshman year of college--I'm an orphan so didn't have any parents to buy it for me (but it taught me to be very independant & tough :P) Like I said before, have you ever noticed that almost all superheroes like Spider-Man, Batman, DareDevil, Superman, almost all the X-Men, etc. all had their parents killed? It gives them the motivation to make the world a better place while at the same time making them tough bad-asses who don't hesitate to kick-ass :P

I'm so stoked--this is my current once-black Porsche 968 Cabriolet convertible (I painted it RED now)--I'm having a blast driving this up & down the California coast, wind blowing thru my hair and enjoying the sun & wind down PCH :) It's so fun--my license plate is "FUNLVN" (as in fun-loving guy, LOL ;)
UPDATE: I sold my Porsche convertible (blew out the transmission from racing it at 153 mph too often, lol) & bought a red BMW convertible instead

That's me with my convertible at the beach
(the other 2 pics are professional photos from the Porsche dealership)
You need a Java capable browser to view this rippling reflective image
I had my Porsche convertible painted red :)

'Be as enthusiastic about the success of others as you are about your own. Learn from the mistakes of the past and press on to the greater achievements of the future. Give everyone a smile.
