Director - Brian Hanner - Cares for Lupus UK’s day-to-day activities with the support of the Head Office staff.
National Council - Governs the charity and is made up of the above Officers and Regional Chairpersons or their representatives.
Grants Committee - Considers applications to the charity for research grant funding, taking expert advice where required.
How are our members supported?
Lupus UK maintains national and regional structures and provides fact sheets, books, leaflets, posters and other promotional material on the the illness and the work of the charity. Welfare facilities for members and information for the medical profession are also important.
Our priorities are:
- to help the sufferer from feeling alone and isolated
- to further our role in funding lupus research
- to improve awareness about lupus and its impact
- to increase appeals income and other fundraising
- to grow the charity’s member base significantly
