BREATHING
Linda Eklof Read RN, BSN
Take a deep breath IN
Allow your abdomen to relax
Hold your breath for ~5 seconds
Slowly breathe out
Notice the quiet time before your next breath
Take a deep breath IN
Notice the air as it enters your nose
Feel it moving through your nasal passages into the back of your throat
Visualize the air moving down your trachea
See the air flow branch out through the bronchi and move into your tiny air sacs
Now visualize your blood picking up the oxygen from the air
As you breathe OUT
See the air leaving your alveoli
Follow the air up and out of your trachea
Feel the air as it moves out your nose and mouth
Allow your abdomen and chest cavity to pull in
Continue Breathing
Pay attention to breathing in, breathing out.
Flow with the movement of your Breath.
Breathe Easy
In the ever present NOW
