My Management Philosophy

It is still evolving ......

I am a practheorist . I am a practical theorist who strives on a
continuous basis to convert theory into practise and use practise to
build theory .

I am a Hands OFF manager .
     That is to say :
If there is no need to manage I do not .
I do not encourage people to come to me with problems .
I encourage people to come to me with solutions and alternatives .
If needed we discuss the alternatives , make maps , and modify .
I leave it to them to take the appropriate action .

If I am told to pick one and only responsibility of a manager , I will
choose Communication .

If I am told to pick one and only task of a manager , I will choose self
liquidation.

I communicate , teach , learn , and command - I rarely demand and even
more rarely push . I believe in Lao Tsu - " If you want to lead people ,
walk behind them ."

I know that everyone can triple his work output every three to six
months . I practise the same .

I believe in delegating , delegating and even more delegating .

Every job that comes my way I deal as follows :
If someone else can do it , I slide it along .
If I have to do it , I divide it into parts , many of which can
be delegated. Every time I do something , I keep thinking and
implementing ways of not having to do it again.

I cannot forget , that I do not get paid for working . The work I do can
basically be done by a third standard student . I get paid to get
results , I get paid to take responsibility , I get paid to manage .

i take the natural approach to management . The trees of the jungle
approach. I give them what they need and leave the rest to themselves.

I find if very strange that the world seems to be living by deadlines
!!!

I am not crazy ; I am a manager !
