Why I use left handed mouse .......
Think about it . The keyboard in front of you , if you are not using a
laptop computer , has a number pad on the right side . This makes the
keyboard a right handed keyboard. Then you use a right handed mouse ,
cause you reason that as you are right handed , you need to be using a
right handed mouse .
Not so ,
When you use right handed mouse and the conventional keyboard , you face
the following pitfalls .
Your right hand which you use to accomplish majority of the day to day
tasks , is tired anyway ( though it has substantially more strength than
the left hand ). Then you subject it to continuous rigour of using the
index finger continuously . No wonder one keeps hearing about the
computer related injuries .
Secondly , once in a while , you have to use the keyboard . Have you
tried using the mouse and entering numbers using the number pad at the
same time ? You cannot .
Lastly your hand has to move a longer distance to reach your mouse as
all the time you have to pass over the number pad and the surrounding
area .
That is why you have to use left handed mouse , whether or not you are
right handed .
Here is what I accomplish by using left handed mouse .
I enter data and use the mouse at the same time while using excel.
I use the mouse to thrash the messages in eudora and use the down arrow
to browse the open messages . My hands do not get tired even when I am
working for a long time on the computer , as both hands are getting used
. I save space on my desktop as the mouse resides in the area left of
the keyboard which in general is lies vacant and unused .
