Sweating like a pig !
Usually people who are sweating profusely throw up their hands and
exclaim " Oh God , I am sweating like a pig !"
Well , for your information , pigs do not sweat . Full stop . Pigs do
not sweat . If you do not believe me ask Babe .
Pigs have very thick skin and hardly any sweat glands . That is the
reason they cannot sweat . This makes them rather susceptible to the
temperature changes in the surrounding . When the temperature rises ,
the pigs get increasingly uneasy , so uneasy that they go and roll in
mud , dirt or crap to cool off.
The idiom ' Sweating like a pig ' is used to mean that you are very
uneasy . As uneasy as the pig who is in hot surroundings and unable to
sweat ..
Next time you get in hot waters in the board meeting , it is okay to say
" I am sweating like a pig " even if it the room is freezing .
