The Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, Inc. is an independent non-profit corporation dedicated to providing emergency medical services, non-emergency ambulance transportation and safety training to the Summit community. We are staffed 100% by volunteers and are funded solely through private contributions. All of our services are provided free of charge. The Squad is run by officers and a Board of Trustees who are elected from among the membership.
The Squad belongs to several organizations which assist us in providing training, gaining access to the current trends and information in the EMS field and help to share information and resources with other emergency services providers. We currently belong to:

Our members provide medical coverage at most major community events including the August Street Fair, home football games, parades, Santa's arrival, July 4th celebrations & First Night. We also have a Bike Team that covers events with large areas and/or numbers of people.
The Squad offers regular classes in CPR, First Aid & emergency preparedness to the public. American Heart Association & American Red Cross courses are free of charge to all Summit residents. The Squad also hosts many training programs for Fire, Police & EMS organizations in the area. Whenever possible, courses are offered at no charge. Click here to see our Upcoming Events
