Figure 5: A new species, Psilocybe azurescens nom. prov., which, upon analysis, contains up to 2% psilocybin, elevating it to the status of the most potent species in the world. Native to the Pacific Northwest of North America.




Figure 6: Psilocybe semilanceata , the Liberty Cap, a species common throughout the British Isles, France, Germany, Holland and Italy. Also common on the Pacific Northwest coast of the United States. Favoring sheep and cattle pastures.




Figure 7: Psilocybe pelliculosa, a relatively weak woodland Psilocybe which favors abandoned logging roads in the Pacific Northwest of North America.




Figure 8: The rare Psilocybe silvatica, a close relative of P. pelliculosa, reported only from Washington and Oregon.
