Metamorphosis
I was slow and hesitant
Unsure of who I was.
Like a caterpillar I went through life
knowing I had potential,
but unsure of how to get there.
Then I met you.
And as I reflect on my life,
my dreams,
my hopes,
my aspirations,
I realized what I was capable of becoming
through you.
Now,
as I stand on the threshold of my life,
I spread my wings
and get ready to fly . . .
with love on my wings.
