MY LIFE

Danny's Letters to God
Another Day

Dear God,

Thanks for the good night's rest and for the woman You sent to run my life. She snores ever so sweetly in our bed. Actually, the wall is vibrating from that gentle snore so I'll just turn up the radio. I ask for my abstinance today and for the ability to be kind and generous to all who come my way, especially folks I don't care for, and one in particular. I finally figured out how to send photos on this machine and had such a good time playing with it last night, thanks.

Please, God, help me to keep my mouth shut when the females start their bickering about "THE WEDDING," as I can't seem to escape the constant phone calls and the same old worn out arguments. 12, 13 and 14 year old girls are easier than the bride and the entourage. Just tune them out, but the wedding crap is terrible. This man knows to hide because if I offer a commonsense solution they will be angry. The fighting will be over and I would be the new target for their nerves.

I have little to do today and all day to do it, so although the woman has not issued the marching orders yet, things could get busy. My bride is so good at volunteering my time and energy. You know between the two of You I don't even need to think. It's all done for me. I could use the power to do Your will today, and the knowledge of what that is. Watch over the usual bunch, even those I don't care for.

Thanks for the sunny day, blue skies and cool breezes. They are a joy. The early morning smells are now fading and going to wherever they go, being replaced with a myriad of scents all mixed together, but I can tell when the local burger barn cranks up the grill, mmmmmm. I'm off to do as little as I can get away with.

And Why Not?
