Dear Friends on this Wonderful Journey ~ ~ ~

My name is Mari and I am in the process of recovering from the disease of compulsive overeating. I am an addict ... a food addict. I have other compulsions ..... love, relationship and also co-dependency. In other words, I could be just a big mess. But I'm not. Thanks to a program based on the Twelve Steps of Recovery, I have more serenity in my life today than I ever dreamed possible. My life is far from perfect ...... but I feel whole. Centered. And I'm filled with hope that it is going to get better .... and better ... and better.

My program has made it possible for me to realize a dream. I've been a teacher all of my life and in the past few years wanted to reach as many people as possible who know the hope that I've found in the Twelve Steps. This Web Site and a group on the Internet called Journey to Recovery have been the manifestation of that dream. Thousands of hopeless people will find their way to these recovery pages and to the JTR Loop and many of them will experience miracles.

The reason I am writing this today is to let someone very special to me and to this Web Site know that this Journey to Recovery is dedicated to her. She is a special friend by the name of Livvy and she lives in Australia. Do you see all the roses? Livvy put those there. All the beautiful colors and fonts as you go from page to page ... from link to link ..... Livvy did those also. In other words, Livvy has made this special place on the Internet for people who are interested in recovery possible. And it is with deep gratitude and love that I dedicate this to her and express my love by ending this with one of the most beautiful poems I've ever heard.
