Histopathical findings
Paraffin sections from the serosal surface of the right
Fallopian tube demonstrated a well defined tumor nodule (Fig.1).
At medium power papillary and tubular proliferations of uniform, cuboidal
mesothelial cells were seen which formed a single layer on the papillae
(Fig.2). A higher magnification, the nuclei were
only slightly pleomorphic (Fig.3). Mitoses were
very rare. Identical histological findings were made in sections from the
other peritoneal nodules.
Diagnosis: Well differentiated papillary mesothelioma
of the peritoneum (WDPM)
