History
A 56-year-old woman was operated on for a right adnexal
mass. At laparoscopy, multiple white nodules of a few millimeters to more
than a centimeter in size were found on the peritoneal surface, mainly
in the small pelvis. Clinically, this finding was interpreted as peritoneal
carcinomatosis, and a biopsy was taken for frozen section diagnosis.
