What Can I Do If I'm Being Sexually Abused, or Know Someone Who Is?
- Tell someone about it:
- a parent;
- someone at school, like a guidance counselor, social worker, teacher, or administrator;
- a friend’s parent;
- a religious leader;
- your best friend;
- a medical person (a doctor or nurse);
- the police;
- special agencies:
- The Sexual Abuse and Recovery Center;
- Sexual Assault and Recovery Center;
- Look under “Sex” in the white business pages, or yellow pages.
- If they don’t believe you, or think it’s no big deal, tell someone else. There are people who will believe and help you.
