What Can I Do If I'm Being Sexually Abused, or Know Someone Who Is?

  1. Tell someone about it:
    1. a parent;
    2. someone at school, like a guidance counselor, social worker, teacher, or administrator;
    3. a friend’s parent;
    4. a religious leader;
    5. your best friend;
    6. a medical person (a doctor or nurse);
    7. the police;
    8. special agencies:
      1. The Sexual Abuse and Recovery Center;
      2. Sexual Assault and Recovery Center;
      3. Look under “Sex” in the white business pages, or yellow pages.
  2. If they don’t believe you, or think it’s no big deal, tell someone else. There are people who will believe and help you.
