NATURAL CARE FOR YOUR HAIR

Sometimes, store - bought hair care products can clog the pores and lead to scalp problems and dandruff. It is always good to take a break for these harsh items and get back to nature, to your R.O.O.T.S. Here is a list of natural rinses and oils and what they can do for the natural you!

RINSES

Chamomile - This rinse is my favorite! First brew any chamomile herbal tea. It should only contain the leaves of the chamomile flower. After it has steeped for at least 3 minutes let it cool (this can also be a two fold regime. As the tea steeps in a bowl, try draping a towel over your head and let the tea penatrate a clean face while steaming hot. It gives the face a glow!) After it is cool just rinse clean hair with the solution. This is not to be washed out so make it the last thing you use during your hair cleaning. Chamomile brightens, highlights and provides a sheen to dull looking hair.

Banana - Mix one banana and 3 parts water. This acts as a conditioner and has to be washed out thoroughly.

Coconut milk - It softens hair and holds moisture. This does not need added water, but must be washed out also.

Lemon Rinse - dissolves any build - up from excess oils and sebum. Must be washed out of hair after use.

OILS

All the oils listed I have personally used on my hair. You can usually find them either in the health food store or they can be found together in many of the oils in your local beauty supply store. I use Africa's Best Herbal Oils.

Rosemary - stimulates growth and is good for dandruff.

Sage - astringent, kills bacteria.

Jojoba oil - smooths and conditions. Good for dry scalp.

Sweet Almond oil-Contains vitamins E and F; good for itchy scalp

Evening Primrose oil- moisturizes and conditions

Birch oil- good for inflamed scalp

Calendula oil - sooths scalp problems such as eczema.

This is just a small bit of oils you can use on your scalp. They can also be used on the body as well. Some of the oils listed also come in herb form and can be brewed and used as rinses. You choose!

Always Forward,
