HOW TO WRAP

The galee or galae, is a revival look straight from our R.O.O.T.S! Sistas today like Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill sport these wonderfully regal wraps with the pride and poise of true queens. More and more sistas are opting to wear the galae, and if you're anything like me, you may have had a hard time wrapping it. Here are some instructions on how to wrap your galae.
1.) Find a printed or single colored fabric of your choice about 24x48 inches. Your galae will be larger, if you use more fabric, and that's fine, this style is all about personal freedom! But, you don't want it so big that you can't raise your head!

2.) Fold the fabric horizontally, and find the center of the fabric, and place in the center of the back of your head.

3.) Twist and coil the fabric down as you criss cross it over the top and front of your head.

4.) The galae can be kept in place with hat pins, or firm tucking at the front, back or sides.

To add a bit of spice, tie it instead of tucking it, or use your favorite decorative pin on the galae to keep it in place or for decoration. Like locs, when worn for spirtual purposes, one should limit those who touch their galae, everyone's energy is not positive.

I hope that these styles are able to help you, and give you all many ideas that you may have been in search of. Since the information on natural hair options are not as publiczed as those of mainstream hairstyles, we welcome all hair styling suggestions, and of course questions and comments about our hair. Peace and blessings to you all. Style wisely.
