| Tank Description When I went to see my friend Casey in the fall of 1998 at LSU, I saw this aquarium in one of the local pet stores. It is a 20-gallon acrylic tank with a wet/dry filter mounted in the back. It also came with a power-head, bio-balls, and a 100-watt heater. The tank was used. The store wanted to get rid of them because it was too difficult to clean the tanks. They are selling them one at a time for $50. Since I wanted to build a reef tank, I needed to buy a protein skimmer. I got one from the local fish store used for $55 . It is working really well. Eventually I would like to have two tanks. A 75+gallon fish-only tank and my reef tank. |

What the tank has: The tank is equiped with a power-head to circulate the water through the tank and bio-balls. It also has a 100-watt heater, a protein skimmer, a double balist with a 50/50 coralife and an actinic blue bulb. A daily timer regulates when they go on and off. The tank's dementions is 30"x12"x12". The people at Red Sea have some excelent information on how a Berlin Protein Skimmer works.
