Fun Meals

I suppose it depends upon what you consider fun while you dine.  Is your idea of fun with food Chuck E. Cheese or McDonald's Playland?  If so, find another section I suppose, this isn't for you, Sorry!

For me fun meals involves new food experiences, friends, and a variety of senses involved in the meal experience.  For me this might mean cooking a new meal with tons of new ingredients; the preparation of a new dish with new skills can always be a fun challenge!  Dining with friends or preparing and enjoying a meal with a special friend or date (or for those of us practically married, the wife/husband in our lives) can be fun on many levels.   Does your significant other love food as much as you? My girlfriend loves my cooking but likes to be a critical judge as well as an admirer. I love nothing more than searching the web for recipe ideas, going shopping for the special ingredients and learning how to prep them into a wonderful meal for the woman I adore. 

Then there is always the "fun" meal that involves groups and such.  Fondue pot meals are a great example, backyard grill events, picnics and potlucks are all examples of what can be fun...and lets not forget special holiday meals like Halloween..all of this and more   I will tackle here eventually.
