NSRC APPLICATION FOR NOMINATION FOR OFFICERS - 2002

The N.S.R.C. is seeking applications for nominations for positions on the N.S.R.C. Board of Directors for 2001. Applicants must meet the following requirements to be considered:

Be an active A.A.R.C. member as defined by the AARC By-laws
Attend all annual NSRC State educational meetings
Attend quarterly Board Meetings
Fulfill position duties and term of office
Fulfill committee assignments as necessary for management of the N.S.R.C.

OFFICES AVAILABLE FOR 2003:
President - Elect; Vice - President; Treasurer; Director, Outside Lincoln/Omaha Area; Delegate - (To Complete one year of unexpired term).

PRESIDENT - ELECT

DUTIES:
The President - Elect shall become acting president and shall assume the duties of the President in the event of the President’s absence, resignation or disability; shall perform such other duties as shall be assigned by the president or Board of Directors. The President - Elect may not serve as a member of the election and nominations committee.

TERM OF OFFICE:
The President - Elect shall serve a one-year term until the next annual business meeting at which time he/she will accede to position of President, serving a one-year term as the Chief Officer of the N.S.R.C. The President then accedes to position of Immediate Past - President to serve another one year term performing duties as assigned by the President and Board of Directors. This is a three (3) year commitment.

VICE-PRESIDENT

DUTIES:
The Vice - President shall assume the duties but not the office of the President - Elect in the event of the President - Elect’s absence, resignation or disability; and will also carry out the duties of the office of the Vice - President. He/she shall assume the responsibility of the Program and Education Committees.

TERM OF OFFICE:
The Vice - President shall serve for a period of one year. This is a one (1) year commitment.

TREASURER

DUTIES:
The Treasurer shall have charge of keeping all funds and securities of the NSRC: endorsing checks, notes or other orders for the payment of bills: disbursing funds as authorized by the Board of Directors and/or in accordance with the adopted budget: depositing funds as the Board of Directors may designate.

The Treasurer shall see that full accurate accounts are kept, submit monthly trial balances at each meeting of the Board of Directors and a complete written yearly report at the annual meeting of the Board of Directors.

TERM OF OFFICE:
The Treasurer shall serve for a period of two years. This is a two (2) year commitment.

DIRECTOR, OUTSIDE LINCOLN/OMAHA AREA

DUTIES:
Directors shall participate in the governing of the N.S.R.C. and shall perform other such duties as may be necessary or appropriate for the management of the N.S.R.C.

TERM OF OFFICE:
Directors shall serve for a period of three years and shall begin immediately following the annual business meeting. This is a three (3) year commitment.

DELEGATE

DUTIES:
The duties of the delegate delegate shall be as specified in Article VII of the bylaws of the AARC. He/She shall also serve other duties as assigned by the NSRC President of Board of Directors.

TERM OF OFFICE:
The Delegate elected this year shall serve for one year to complete an unexpired term resulting from the resignation of the previous delegate. This is a 1 year commitment.
