Dr. Holmes used to write in Parents and Manila Times, where her column BodyMind, from which the articles in her book Life, Love, Lust have been culled, appeared. She also wrote in Bandera (a tabloid) from 1992 to 1995. The latter column, Magtanong kay Dra. Holmes, changed the landscape of Pilipino sex columns. This was the first sex-related column in the Philippines where the picture and the real name of the author appeared. Also, while other sex columns contained mere descriptions of sex acts, Magtanong kay Dra. Holmes, crossed the borderline and gave actual advice.Currently, she is writing once a month for Filipinas Magazine (a California-based glossy-type magazine) and once a week each for the Inquirer and the Mirror (both Philippine-based newspapers). Very recently she started writing for The Philippine Reporter in a column titled after her long running - BodyMind.
