Part 6 ~ Dream Angel
"Dawson, stop dreaming. I need to talk to you."
Jen: What is with all the dream stuff?
"Hey Joey." Dawson says, a little hurt. "What do you want to say. That our friendship is over and that you don't ever want to talk to me again. No, I got it, you and Pacey have decided that you don't need me anymore and that you're getting married."
Pacey: Married?! At 15?!
Joey: I don't think he actually meant it literally.
"Cool it with the barbs, Idiot Jed.
Jen: Idiot Jeb?
I came to say I'm sorry for the outburst this morning and for running away without explaining, but if you want to act like a two year old I'll just go home." Joey makes a move towards the window.
"Joey, wait. I'm sorry for being an ass. I didn't mean to be so hurtful."
"Dawson, have you ever realized that you're always saying I'm sorry, or promising to never do something again? Have you ever realized that I take everything? I've depended on you solely for years, I can't do that anymore. I have to learn to stand on my own.
Pacey: On my own……..
Pacey stands out and begins to sing until Dawson pushes him back into the chair.

Pacey told me some things last night that I've been too blind to see. Now I'm going to return the favor. Jen loves you. She broke up with you because she couldn't stand for you to decide one day that you love me. Everyone thinks you love me. Everyone but me. I'm tired of waiting for you, Dawson. I am officially no longer waiting for you to wake up. I'm going on with my life. The question is, What are you going to do with yours?
Pacey: Pine away endlessly for you…..
"You got your wish, the world has stopped for you. Everyone's life now hinges on what you're going to say. Do you love me? Do you love Jen? Will you get over your absurd resentment and envy of Pacey or let it destroy all of your relationships?
"The clock's ticking Dawson, We're not going to wait till forever for your answer. I told Jen to come here later. I called Pacey. You have until 9 PM to decide the rest of your life, Dawson, better make up your mind."
Jen: She set a deadline on his heart?
With all said Joey goes out the window and Dawson flops on the bed.
"I can't decide if this is the best or the worst day of my life. How can I decide anything else." Dawson rolls over and turns on the radio. "Oh, goody, a commercial, just what I need."

Pacey: I thought that Joey forgave him and thought that she had been two hard on him?
