I have had MG for 2 1/2 years, I am taking 240 Mgs. of Mistinon a day plus 3200 Mgs of Mortrin for pain and swelling. I would appreciate any information from someone in the same situation. I am a 24 year old female and have lived with MG since birth. I do extremely well to have this disease. I work full time and enjoy a normal full life. I also have a cousin age 23 with MG but she has been through a terrible ordeal. She was diagnosed 5 ears ago. but since having a thymectomy she is in remission. Fortunately I haven't had to go through that. I'm looking to talk to people the same age as I and learn all sorts of new things.

Hello- Checking out your website to get information about donations. My father had MG for ten yrs and when he died last year at the age of 80, the Drs told us that it was a complication of chemo/radiation. Our family thinks that they misdiagnosed an MG risis. I have been dx. with myasthenia gravis. Please share your experience with dx. treatment, meds. and coping. I had a bone marrow transplant for multiple myeloma in l991, and thank God I am in remission. I wonder if it is a coincidense that 2 years ago I as also dx. with m.g.

I was diagnosed with MG October 97. I've recently moved here to Portsmouth VA and several things have happened to my family and I am having a very difficult time dealing with things. By nature, I am the family anchor and everyone is having a hard time a justing to what I can and can't do anymore. My MG is such that I can't sit up for much more than an hour. Walking any distance further than 20 to 30 feet is not possible. I get around with the assistance of a wheel chair. It has been approximately o e month since I was medically retired from the Air Force. To me, this meant they no longer had any use for me. I welcome any help and/or advice there is.
