This is Christopher Columbus Scott, born 1900 in Oklahoma, with Delia, one of his many (we think five in all) wives.
Ina Bertice Williams, b. Campbell MO, December 18, 1904 - February 1969. Married Douglas E. Secord, b. Green Bay, Wisconsin (July 07, 1903 - May 26, 1992). My maternal grandmother.
The elderly lady in the middle is Armeada Pariso (Pariseau) Secord, mother of Elsworth and Henry H. Secord, grandmother of Douglas Elsworth Secord. Believed to have been born in Montreal, she lived out most of her life in or near Green Bay Wisconsin. She was born in 1852 and died sometime after 1943, when this photo was taken.
This is Douglas Elsworth Secord, b. 1903 in Green Bay WI, died 1992 in British Columbia.
Kathleen M. Secord, daughter of Ina Williams and Douglas Secord, b. Portland Oregon (August 03, 1928 - October 02, 1983). Married Robert Lee Scott (b. Glendale, California, March 15, 1925 - May 10, 1995) in August, 1949.
This is Kathleen Secord at approximately age 12
Centre: Kathleen Secord (1928 - 1983), aged four. Daughter of Douglas E. Secord and Ina B. Williams
West Point School, Vinita Oklahoma. The woman on the left is Nola Jane Mobly (Romines); on the right is Bessie Leona Romines (Scott). Bessie attended this school as a girl.
Wedding portrait of
Bessie Leona Romines (b. Nov 1896) and Ernest Lee Scott (1899 - 1989),
parents of Robert Lee Scott (1925-1995) and Donald William Scott
(1933-). As of this date, Bessie is still living and will be 102
years of age in November.
Both are of mixed Cherokee and Scots blood. It's also believed that
Ernest's gg-grandmother was Seminole.
Bessie Leona Romines with niece Bea Alberta Durbin. Bea was born in 1919 and married David Palfrey. They lived in Oklahoma.
Joseph Frank Romines (son of Elisha F. Romines) and Ida Alice Jane Dugger (b. 1878, she died 1927 in Oklahoma) Ida would have been Frank's aunt. She married Ode Riddle and had two sons: Raymond and Floyd. As can be seen in another picture, there are three boys indicated to be Ida and Ode's children, but we have no knowledge of a third, so it's possible that the third is a cousin.
Catherine Ball (1844 - 1918), married Enoch Anderson Dugger (1848 - ) She died in Bernice Oklahoma. Catherine and Enoch Anderson (some say his middle name was Arden) Dugger were the parents of Mary Elizabeth Dugger, who married Elisha Fitzgerald Romines. They were the parents of Bessie Leona Romines. The baby on her lap is Raymond Riddle.
Raymond and Floyd Riddle. Third boy unknown at this time.
Hattie M. Romines,
sister of Bessie Leona Romines, daughters of Joseph Romines and
Anna Jane (Boucher) Romines. Hattie married "Tip" Ryan Nov 3, 1901.
She was born in 1881. She and Tip had four children: Virgil, Esther,
Leona and Dorothy. Hattie was most likely born in Oklahoma, since
it's believed her family moved there in 1900, where their names
appear in the 1900 Census.
Joseph Romines was born in 1844 in Meigs Co, Tennessee. He died in
1912 in Blue Jacket, Craig Co, Oklahoma. Anna Jane, his wife, is
believed to have been born in Kentucky in 1846. She is buried in
Norwood, Missouri.
Well, that is it for now. I will be adding more of my family as
their photos become available. So please contine to visit.
Peace and happiness,
Red Hawk
