"Heidi"

Heidi Nichole visited our home for just a little while
and in that time we learned what it was to smile.
Heidi was like an angel sent from above.
She had a job to do, and that job
was to give joy, peace, and lots of love.

What more could a family of seven people ask for,
but to spend a few hours each day
with a baby that got spent our way.

I looked forward to walking in our home and seeing the twins,
because they brought rays of laughter into my heart.
But that afternoon when I walked into my house
and was told that Heidi died, my whole world fell apart.

I'm going to miss that little girl who was like a sister to me.
She had a way of unlocking my deepest emotions,
because she held the key.

Each time I think of Heidi leaving us,
a part of me wants to cry,
but another part of me wants to Sigh.
Heidi did the job she set out to do.
She touched my heart, didn't she touch yours too?
