To Ryan's Web Site

Hi, Please come back and visit me soon.

God Bless the USA!!!!!

My name is Ryan T. Burnett. I was born July 13, 1970
I live in Houma, Louisiana.

I was born with Cerebral Palsy. I can't walk or talk. Cerebral Palsy effects the muscles. My communication Board I communicate with a Board that has words, letters and numbers on it. I point to whatever I want to say. I would like to thank Hans Geist a very good friend of mine, for making me my Board. It is very nice. Check out Hans's Website. It is cool! I am able to understand everything. I graduated from high school in 1990. I was on the football and baseball team. I was the mascot. I like listening to music, going out to night clubs on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, going to the shopping mall, watching football, surfing the net, reading The Houma Courier, WWL-TV.COM, NFL.COM, NOLA.COM and the I also really enjoy meeting new people. I talk to people online a lot.

Me and Kayla !When I was born the umbilical cord was wrapped around my neck The doctor's told my mom I would not make it, but I did. My mom is the Greatest person that I know. Her name is Kay P. Thibodeaux. She helps me out so much through out life. I know I would not have made it without my mom. She works at The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber Of Commerce. They have a very nice Website. My dad helps me too. He works a lot, so we don't see much of each other. I have a good step dad. I am lucky to have him in my life. I also have a wonderful sister. Missy did help me a lot when we were growing up. Now she is busy with her family. We don't get to see each other much, because my nephew Grant keeps her very busy. He is growing up to be a very fine young man. I am a proud uncle. My grandmother is a wonderful person too. She helps me out so much.I can only type one key at a time !I am blessed to have the family that I have.

When people see a person with a disability, they automatically think that person is mentally handicapped and that is wrong. I like to talk to people about my disability. I would like to educate people about Cerebral Palsy. Some people stare and wonder why I am like this. They are scared to ask questions, but asking questions will only give you better knowledge of Cerebral Palsy. I like people to treat me like they treat anybody else.

I have my own apartment. I have caregivers who work for me. They feed, bathe and dress me. I am real lucky to have them helping me. I know a very special little boy that I call my "nephew". He is one of my caregivers son. He calls me "Uncle Ryan". I love him!

Please E-mail me any time! I have some really good friends that are always helping me when I need it. I have a good friend name Robert who built me a real nice computer. I love it! Robert helps me out a lot with my computer. Check out Robert's wife Web Site. Pawsitive Pets Sitting Service. I just know Karen's biggest pet:-). Robyn and her husband has a nice coffe shop in the mall. They have good coffee & tea. They are really nice. Robyn is crazy:-)! I want to thank Warren "P MAN" and Gary for helping me out, when I need it. They are cool! Watch, Kim will start to fuss, because he will want to be on my site too.
