The Lighter Brigade was formed on July 28, 1998 and currently has members from across the United States and Canada. Our members support each other daily through e-mail messages and our chatrooms and messageboards:

The Lighter Brigade uses a year-long theme and contests to help us stay motivated. We have websites set up with information regarding the theme:

"LB Express to KOPSLand"

and our contests:

"LB at Play"

Most of the members of The Lighter Brigade are also members of a local chapter of TOPS (Take off Pounds Sensibly) although being a member of TOPS is not required. Our aim is to offer each other help and encouragement as we work toward our goal of fitness, health and weightloss.

In the pages that follow, we will share some of the things that have helped us along the way.
